Aufgrund der hohen Transportkosten und Einfuhrvorschriften beschaffen wir das nötige Material vor Ort. Dies generiert auch wieder Arbeit für die Bevölkerung in Nepal.

Due to the high transport costs and import regulations, we procure the necessary materials locally. This also generates work for the population in Nepal.

Can I volunteer in Nepal through the school association?

In Dolpo und in Mustang ist dies nicht möglich, da eine tägliche Permitgebühr von 50 $ vom Staat erhoben wird. Ausserdem wird das Permit nur für begrenzte Zeit ausgestellt. Der Unterricht an der Klosterschule für Jungen wird allerdings im Winter in Kathmandu durchgeführt. Hier kann man sich bewerben. Ebenso in unserem Hostel in Kathmandu.

This is not possible in Dolpo and Mustang, as a daily permit fee of $50 is charged by the state. In addition, the permit is only issued for a limited time. Der Vorstand reist regelmässig nach Nepal und kontrolliert die vereinbarten Massnahmen vor Ort. Die Reisekosten werden durch den Vorstand privat getragen. So können wir garantieren, dass über 95% Ihrer Spende in Nepal eingesetzt wird. Unser Verein ist auch in Nepal registriert und wird regelmässig durch den Staat kontrolliert.

The Board of Directors regularly travels to Nepal and monitors the agreed measures on site. The travelling expenses are borne privately by the Board of Directors. This enables us to guarantee that over 95% of your donation is used in Nepal. Our organisation is also registered in Nepal and is regularly inspected by the government.

Der Schulverein kann keine bestimmte Empfehlung machen. Persönlich reisen wir vom Vorstand jedoch meist mit Mustang Adventure Trek.

The school association cannot make a specific recommendation. Personally, however, we from the board usually travel with Mustang Adventure Trek.

Spenden aus der Schweiz sowie der EU-Länder können steuerlich abgesetzt werden. Die Einzahlungen aus den EU-Ländern erfolgt über die Stiftung 100. Der Schulverein Lo-Manthang erhält 100% der eingegangenen Spenden.

Donations from Switzerland and EU countries are tax-deductible. Payments from EU countries are made via Stiftung 100. School Association Lo-Manthang receives 100% of the donations received.
